Turkey immunises over 520,00 healthcare workers in two days with China vaccine
520,00 healthcare workers have received their first dose of the Chinese jab, Coronavac in Turkey so far, Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca reported on his twitter account on Friday.
Following 1 million 100,000 thousand healthcare workers who have designated in the first stage of the COVID-19 vaccination programme, the elderly, disabled and people living and working in protection houses will be vaccinated.
“Our infrastructure is more than enough to run this programme. We will win the fight against the epidemic together,”, Koca said.

Koca also thanked the chairmen of the political parties represented in Turkish parliament on regard of their interest of the vaccination programme, via his twitter account.
After Fahrettin Koca, the first person who had received the jab on Wednesday in the country, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received a COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday in a live television broadcast from Ankara City Hospital.
Turkey has bought 50 million doses of the Chinese-made CoronaVac vaccine, three million of which have arrived in Turkey so far.
