Turkey’s Pegasus Airlines to start flights to Pakistan

Turkish budget carrier Pegasus Airlines is preparing for aerial operations to Pakistan, the Islamabad Post reported on Saturday.

Pegasus will begin flights between Karachi and Istanbul four times a week as of March 28, it said.

The report arrives days after a visit by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to Pakistan, where he signed a number of trade agreements.

Pegasus made headlines earlier this month when a Boeing 737 belonging to budget carrier, travelling from the western city of Izmir, skidded upon landing at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport, killing three people and injuring 179.
